At Lakeside, we pride ourselves on providing only the very best service to our guests. Our situation on the shore of the Karamaj Lake affords spectacular views, and our guests are always perfectly welcome to take a walk around the entire lake. Of course, there is always the option of enjoying the scenery from the comfort of the Lakeside verandah too..!

Western Comfort

The Lakeside Guesthouse and cottages are all equipped to a comfortable standard, with air conditioning installed in some. All our bathrooms are equipped to western standards. More information is available in Comfortable Accommodation.

Dining at Lakeside

Breakfast is taken on the lake view verandah, whilst lunch is in the open-ended living area. The evening meal is taken on the large rooftop terrace overlooking the lake and mountains. The multi-cuisine kitchen offers a wide variety of both authentic Indian cuisine and continental meals. Although menus are fixed the local staff are happy to cater for individual needs such as vegetarian or diabetic.

Entertainment

If the excellent service and fabulous scenery start to get a little too overwhelming, the Lakeside Guesthouse also has a games room, internet access and Satellite TV.

Local Walks and Cycle Hire

For the more adventurous guest, there are a variety of local walks where you may be fortunate enough to see some of our fascinating wildlife. If walking is not to your taste or you would like to explore further afield, then we can also arrange bicycle hire.

Birds and Wildlife

Lakeside boasts a fabulous array of birds, butterflies and animals, some of which can even be seen within the gardens. Our resident kingfisher is a regular visitor to the water lily pond and a variety of birds can be seen feeding on the shore of the Karamaj Lake.
